I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I have been since 1996.  I moved here to be close to my then boyfriend, now husband, Aveek, who was attending Carnegie Mellon University at the time.  We ended up staying and I love it here.

I'm originally from Texas. I was born in El Paso, Texas.  We lived in El Paso for about 6 years before we moved to Houston, Texas.  We lived in different places in Houston - the south, west and north side. 

I spent my early school days in the south part of the Conroe school district -- Ford Elementary, Houser Intermediate and Oak Ridge Jr. High School.  We then moved to Waller, Texas where I went to Waller Jr. High school  I started high school at Waller High School.  My family moved to Conroe right before my junior year.  I graduated in 1989 from Conroe High School. I then attended Harding University for six years. I have a degree in Accounting and a degree in Computer Information Systems. I have a masters in Communications and Information Systems from Robert Morris University. 

I use my CIS degree to make a living. I work for Bayer Corporation where I 'm a Senior IS Analyst for BCBS.  I also do volunteer work for a cat shelter, Paws of My Heart.

I usually spend most of my free time reading or wasting time on the computer, when I'm not spending time with my husband, Aveek , or playing with one of our cats, Dash ,  Jackie  or Meenie.
