Meet the Base Batches 004 cohort
Base

Meet the 10 teams in Base Batches 004, the latest cohort of Base’s accelerator, run in partnership with the Base Ecosystem Fund. They’re building products that let people pay with stablecoins, trade tokenized assets, borrow against their holdings, and buy and sell AI services.
The cohort is now nearing the end of a dedicated accelerator program, culminating in Demo Day in New York on November 18th.
How we chose the teams
Selection combined application and video-pitch review with interviews of shortlisted founders. We looked for early-stage teams with strong founder-market fit and domain expertise, a clear use case for building onchain, and Base as their default network.
A core consideration was whether teams were addressing large markets and had a clear plan to build products that could serve users at scale. We aimed to select the top early stage builders with deep domain expertise and founder market fit. Across the cohort, we looked for products that could drive economic activity on Base through trading, payments, agents, and financing.
Meet the cohort
The teams span four connected areas of opportunity: making stablecoins useful in everyday payments, building markets around tokenized assets, expanding access to credit, and supporting commerce around AI.
Stablecoins for everyday payments
Stablecoins need connections to the ways people already pay and businesses already operate. These teams are building those connections, from Brazil’s PIX payment system to merchant checkout and foreign exchange.
- Conta is building a self-custodial payments account connected to PIX in Brazil, with balances held in a wallet controlled by the user.
- LEDiG is building stablecoin liquidity and onchain foreign-exchange hedging infrastructure for businesses operating across Africa and other emerging markets.
- Saturday is building a stablecoin point-of-sale product that lets merchants accept payments on an iPhone and settle in stablecoins on Base.
Markets for tokenized stocks
Bringing an asset onchain creates opportunities beyond issuing it. People also need ways to access it, trade it, and manage the risks of holding it. These teams are building different parts of that market.
- Greek is building tokenized options infrastructure for onchain hedging, risk management, and yield strategies.
- Grow is building a self-custodial investment platform for emerging markets, giving users access to tokenized stocks, exchange-traded funds, crypto, and commodities through local-currency stablecoins.
- Tribeca is building a 24/7 exchange on Base for tokenized assets, with offchain order matching and onchain settlement.
Credit built around onchain assets
Holding an asset and accessing cash do not have to be separate decisions. These teams are exploring ways for holders to borrow against their assets, with different approaches to lending and risk management.
- BitRepo is building a product that lets bitcoin holders borrow stablecoins against their BTC and deploy that capital into directly underwritten, short-duration credit.
- Renn is building fixed-term credit against crypto and tokenized stocks, using option hedges to manage collateral price risk.
Commerce around AI
As AI agents use paid services, providers need to understand how those agents find and buy their products. AI users also need ways to compare and purchase the computing services behind them. These teams address different sides of that opportunity.
- Flovia helps API providers understand how AI agents discover, use, and pay for their services, identifying where agents drop off and which changes could improve conversion.
- Mercatus AI is building an exchange for AI inference, the computing used to generate model responses, with monthly forward contracts and a standard unit for comparing prices across models.
Support
Base Batches combines product support with fundraising education. For this cohort, the program includes:
- Capital: A $100K investment offer from the Base Ecosystem Fund, subject to the fund’s diligence review.
- Expert support: An eight-week virtual program with a dedicated advisor, weekly support, and access to subject matter experts.
- Visibility: Content capture to help teams tell their stories and reach the Base ecosystem.
- Demo Day: Founders will present their products and progress to an audience of investors on November 18th.
